Do I need to be able to draw or write?

No. You bring the idea: a bedtime story for your kid, a gift for a friend, a family memory. The chat asks the right questions, helps shape the story, and generates all the illustrations for you.

Can the characters look like my child, my pet, or me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload a few photos to the book’s media library and papergarden uses them as references, so the same recognisable character appears consistently on every page.

Which art styles can I choose from?

There is a whole catalogue: soft watercolour, bold cartoon, cut-paper collage, claymation, linocut and many more. You pick a style by seeing samples in the chat, and every page of your book is illustrated in it.

What if I don’t like a page?

You stay in control. Regenerate any illustration, flip back to earlier versions, rewrite or move the text, and reorder pages. Nothing is final until you say so.

Can I get a real, printed copy?

Yes. When your book feels right, papergarden turns it into a print-ready edition and ships you a large square hardcover (21.6 × 21.6 cm), professionally printed and bound, from 24 up to 84 pages.

How much does it cost?

Signing up is free and comes with starter credits, so you can try papergarden without paying anything. After that, a pack of 10,000 credits costs €10, and an illustrated page uses about 50, so you only pay for what you generate. The printed hardcover is €59 with standard shipping included; extra copies of the same book are €39 each.

How long do printing and delivery take?

Every copy is printed on demand, just for your book. Printing usually takes a few working days, and with standard shipping most orders arrive within one to two weeks. You’ll see a delivery estimate for your address at checkout, with faster shipping options available.
